Sheffield Promoted to Associate Professor
March 30, 2023

Princeton’s Board of Trustees have approved the promotion of Assistant Professor Daniel Sheffield to Associate Professor with tenure effective July 1, 2023. Sheffield, who joined the department in 2016, specializes in the religious, intellectual, and social history of the medieval and early modern Persian-speaking world.

NES to Hold Sophomore Open House March 27, 2023

The Department of Near Eastern Studies will hold its annual Sophomore Open House for prospective concentrators on Monday, March 27, 2023, from 4:30 to 5:30 in Wallace Hall room 300.

Haykel Appointed to Nelson Mandela Chair for Afro Asian Studies
