Academic Year Funding
When to Apply
- In the spring of junior year, rising seniors may apply for funding to support senior thesis research to be conducted during the summer
- In mid fall, students may apply for funding for research to be conducted during winter break/intersession.
**It is strongly encouraged to start working on your application materials early so that you have ample time to meet the strict deadlines set by NES and various funding sources.
Eligible seniors interested in Senior Thesis Research Funding (STRF) may apply for funding from the NES department and from OUR via the SAFE (Student Activities Funding Engine) website.
For fall STRF application period information, please see the O.U.R. page.
Because resources are limited, no guaranty of funds can be made, and students are advised to apply to all potential sources of funds.
