Musicians
Asgar Asgarzade began his musical education at the age of eight in his village of Guzanli on the outskirts of Karabakh. He is currently enrolled at the National Music Conservatory in Baku, Azerbaijan and holds a teaching position at the music school in his village.

Anar Imanov is from the Aghdam region of Karabakh and began playing the tar as a young child. He currently teaches at the Uzeyir Hajibeyov Mugham Center.

Jeffrey Werbock has been studying mugham for over five decades and has performed at the Lincoln Center, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the American Museum of National History, the World Music Institute among other institutions and holds an honorary degree from the National Music Conservatory of Azerbaijan
