Event Description
Deborah

Deborah Schlein is the Near Eastern Studies Librarian at Princeton University Library. She received her PhD in 2019 from Princeton's Near Eastern Studies department, where she wrote her dissertation on the history of Yunani medicine in Mughal and colonial India. As Near Eastern Studies librarian at Princeton, Deborah works closely with faculty, students, and researchers in the Near Eastern Studies Department as well as others across campus working on the Near East and related subjects.

 

 

 

Joyce

Joyce Bell spent 30 years working at Princeton University Library as an Arabic Cataloger, head of the Middle East Cataloging Team and Director of Cataloging and Metadata Services before retiring in 2019.  She has recently been pressed back into service updating and enhancing the cataloging data for the Library’s latest Islamic manuscript digitization project.
