Arman Grigoryan is Associate Professor in the International Relations Department of Lehigh University. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Columbia University, and an MA from the University of Chicago. Professor Grigoryan specializes in interventions, ethnonationalist conflict, on domestic sources of foreign policy, as well as the politics of the post-communist space. His research has appeared in International Security, International Studies Quarterly, International Political Science Review, Ethnopolitics, and International Analytics. He is currently working on a book about interventions, specifically why sometimes interventions produce escalated violence, as well as on articles about intervener motives, and another one about the 2020 war between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which is the subject of his presentation at Princeton.
