The Cairo Genizah, a treasure trove of medieval manuscripts discovered in the Ben Ezra Synagogue, offers a remarkable glimpse into the cultural and linguistic interactions of the Jewish communities in Egypt. This talk delves into the intriguing history of the Syriac presence in Egypt, exploring how some documents produced by the Syriac-speaking communities ended up in the Cairo Genizah.
