Fourth-year graduate student Michael Battalia has been awarded a 2023–24 Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Abroad Fellowship to conduct fieldwork in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. He is also the recipient of a 2023–24 Donald and Mary Hyde Academic-Year Fellowship for Research Abroad in the Humanities.
