Gribetz, Rustow Awarded NEH Grants

Associate Professor of Near Eastern Studies and the Program in Judaic Studies and Jonathan Dickinson Bicentennial Preceptor Jonathan Gribetz has received a National Endowment for the Humanities fellowship for his project “Reading Herzl in Beirut: The PLO’s Research on Judaism and Israel Project Description.” He will spend the fellowship completing his book on the history of a research center and library formerly maintained in Beirut, Lebanon, by the Palestine Liberation Organization.

Zilkha Professor of Jewish Civilization in the Near East and Professor of Near Eastern Studies and History Marina Rustow was awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities grant in the Humanities Initiatives: Colleges and Universities category for her project “Creating a Committee for Manuscript, Rare Book, and Archive Studies Project Description: The development of undergraduate and graduate curricula in Manuscript, Rare Book and Archive Studies.”
