Peck Shahnamah Now Available Online

The Manuscripts Division of the Department of Rare Books and Special Collection has announced completion of the digitization of the Peck Shahnamah which is now available online. Below is a link to the announcement with further links to the digitized images of the complete text and its miniatures.

The Peck Shahnamah, bequeathed to Princeton in 1983 by Clara S. Peck, the sister of Fremont C. Peck, Class of 1920, contains 51 paintings. The Shahnama is a poem of some 50,000 couplets that was composed by Abu'l Qasim Firdausi over a period of several decades in the late tenth and early eleventh centuries.
