Reza Huseini, the Leon B. Poullada Postdoctoral Research Associate, was awarded the inaugural Navoiy Shahar Faxriy Fuqarosi Medal and made an Honorary Citizen of Navoi City at an international symposium celebrating the 584th birthday of Mir Alisher Navoiy held in Navoiy City, Uzbekistan, on February 9, 2025. Huseini was one of three honorees awarded the medal, which was given for their excellent academic work on the Turko-Persianate world in the connected region of Central Asia.
