Rami Koujah successfully defended his doctoral dissertation, “Rights, Responsibility, and the Legal Construction of the Human: An Intellectual History of Personhood in Islamic Law” at his Final Public Oral Examination held on July 24, 2024. The examination committee consisted of his advisor, Hossein Modarressi, Michael Cook, and M. Qasim Zaman.
